The owner of a group is the person who is recorded as the author of the Group node that defines the group.

To change the owner of the group, you simply need to change the username of the person who is listed as the author of the Group node.

To do this:

  1. Locate the group node and click on its edit tab.
  2. Scroll down to the tabs at the bottom of the node and click on the Authoring information tab.
  3. Replace the ONID username in the Authored by field with the ONID username of the new person who will be in charge of the node.
  4. Click the Save button.

Please note that this will not remove the user from the group, it will simply change the ownership of the group.
