The group content based fields in the Fields drop-down exist to work with other content types that you wish to use within your group.

There are two different group content related fields you can add:

  • Groups audience field = this field will display a list of all of the groups that you, the user, are a member of.  From this list, you may assign the content to a group.
  • Group content visibility field = this field provides the ability to make content public or private.

OSU Drupal 7 only both the Groups audience and Group content visibility fields included and preconfigured.

We've added our own little customizations to these fields, so let's take a look at how we configure them, which will require a trip into Admin menu > Structure > Content Type > Book Page > Manage Fields.
