1. Locating an Export File In The Worldcat Catalog

Search WorldCat for your publication.

2. Exporting A Publication In Worldcat

When you find the publication you want, click on the Cite/Export button in the upper-right, then click the Export to EndNote/Reference Manager link.

3. Save Export Code To Plain Text File

When you download the file and open it in a text editor you should find it looks something like the provided example, with information about the book in plain-text.

4. Create a Batch Import File

Biblio content can also be created through a batch import. Notice that whenever you open a .ris file it starts with a TY and ends with an ER — then an empty line. To prepare a batch import document, copy the content of one .ris file into another, making sure it follows the format of each entry beginning with a TY, ending with an ER , and separated from the next entry with an empty line.
