User Level: 

Things can get kind of confusing here because we're going to be dealing with (at the moment) three different media types, each of which can have differently configured view modes that have the same name.

File

  • Original - a file link that opens the document in another tab
  • Download - a file link that provides a download for the end user
  • Thumbnail - embeds a generic icon image that has been processed down to 100 x 100 pixels

Image

  • Original - embeds an image using the originally uploaded image
  • Download - a file link that provides a download for the end user
  • Thumbnail - embeds an image that has been processed down to 100 x 100 pixels
  • 150 Wide Scaled - embeds a 150 pixel wide scaled image
  • 300 Wide Scaled - embeds a 300 pixel wide scaled image
  • 450 Wide Scaled - embeds a 450 pixel wide scaled image
  • Colorbox - embeds a preview image that, when clicked, displays the same image in its original size within a modal window

Video

  • Original - embeds a video using its original dimensions
  • Thumbnail - embeds the video preview image processed down to 100 x 100 pixels
  • 150 Wide Scaled - embeds a 150 pixel wide scaled video
  • 300 Wide Scaled - embeds a 300 pixel wide scaled video
  • 450 Wide Scaled - embeds a 450 pixel wide scaled video
  • Colorbox - embeds a preview image that, when clicked, displays the video in its original size within a modal window
