1. Default Settings Inheritance

Click on the new View Mode tab. In this example the name of the View Mode is Original.

When a View Mode is initially enabled, it will inherit all of the settings that exist in the Default tab.

Chances are you'll want to change this around a bit.

2. Remove Any Layout That Is Applied By Default

If there is a layout in use, you can either continue to use it or you can remove it. In this example, we're going to remove the existing layout.

Scroll down the screen.

  • Layout field = select -None-

Click the Save button.

3. Layout Cleared

When a layout is removed, all fields will simply line up vertically.

Fields that are disabled will remain disabled.

4. Reposition Fields

Reposition the fields as needed.

In our example, all fields except for the Image field are dragged down into the Disabled section.

5. Adjust Image Field Settings

Click the cog in the upper right corner of the Image field row. This will open up additional display settings for the field.

In this example, we want the original image to show.

Image Style select field = None (original image)

Link Image To select field = Nothing

Click the Update button.

6. Completed View Mode Configuration

Click the Save button.

This completes the configuration of this particular View Mode. Now it can be applied in a variety of ways.
