D8 Structure - Paragraphs - One-Column Combo - Configure Form Display

6. Configure Paragraph Form Display

Click on the Manage Form Display tab and arrange the fields in the manner you wish them to be arranged.

In our example, we use the Fieldgroup module to arrange our fields in a tidy horizontal tab display that is then buttoned up inside of a collapsed fieldset. This makes a nice, compact work area for our content providers.

When you've arranged things to your liking, click the Save button.

7. Configure Paragraph Display

Click on the Manage Display tab.

We use a very simple linear display with the fields displaying in the following order:

  • Header Image
  • Column Title
  • Body
  • View
  • Webform

After all fields are arranged, click the Save button.

D8 Structure - Paragraphs - One-Column Combo - Navigate to Permissions

8. Navigate to Permissions

Our OSU Drupal 8 distribution utilizes the Paragraphs Types Permissions sub-module (which comes with the Paragraphs module).

This gives us the ability to provide access to individual paragraph bundles based on roles.

Go to Admin Menu > People > Permissions.

D8 Structure - Paragraphs - One-Column Combo - Set Permissions

9. Set Paragraph Permissions

Once on the Permissions screen:

Scroll down to the Paragraphs Type Permissions sections of the screen and set the appropriate permissions for your site.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save Permissions button.

Now the Paragraph Bundle is ready for use. We can't see anything immediately, however, because Paragraph Bundles need to be added to an entity as a reference field.
